Mayor Murphy and council members Lortz, Greiner, and Phillips were present. Kirkpatrick joined the meeting at 7:37 p.m. via conference call. McAreavy was absent.

The Council received five bids for the 2008 General Obligation Corporate Purpose Bonds.

There was a request from Kevin Dane to burn garden waste. The City will pick up the waste.

Mike Saugeling, VJ Engineering, presented three options to eliminating the North Street bypass.

The 2008 Long Street project will be put on hold for now.

1. Motion by Phillips seconded by Greiner to approve the consent agenda:

a. Minutes of the March 10, 2008 council meeting

b. Bills as presented

c. Amana Shops Class C Beer permit

All ayes. Motion carried.

2. Motion by Phillips seconded by Greiner to approve Resolution No. 07-03-08 directing the acceptance of a proposal to purchase $1,000,000 general obligation corporate purpose bonds. Roll call: ayes; PL, TP, MG, DK. Motion carried.

3. Motion by Phillips seconded by Lortz to proceed with Option 2 for the North Trunk Sewer at a cost of $687,758 plus Lift Station Modifications at a cost of $100,000 - $200,000. All ayes. Motion carried.

4. Motion by Phillips seconded by Greiner to adjourn at 8:47 p.m. All ayes. Motion carried.
